Environmental
Summit Engineering Corporation’s professional staff of geologists, hydrologists, geotechnical
engineers, civil engineers and OSHA Health and Safety trained technicians
work closely with clients and regulatory agencies to provide realistic
solutions with respect to environmental liability, site evaluations and clean
up standards.
Environmental Site Assessments
Summit Engineering Corporation’s Phase 1 Site Assessments utilize data generated through site
reconnaissance, aerial photography review, historical land use records,
and regulatory agency records in order to determine the potential for
contamination. These records research include CERCLIS, DOCKETS, ERNS,
FINDS, NPRS, OPEN DUMP, RCRIS, LG, SG, and TS TRI NUCLEAR, LANDFILL, LUST
and UST's. Summit Engineering Corporation’s environmental professionals generate standard
Phase 1 reports in compliance with ASTM Standards. In the event that
a Phase II Site Characterization is warranted, Summit personnel will proceed
with the delineation of the impacted soils/ground water and submit recommendations
for the site remediation. Summit Engineering Coporation has completed Phase III Site Mitigation
projects throughout the state including vapor extraction wells, ground water extraction systems (both
air stripping and ozone treatment), injection of Hydrogen Release Compound (HRC) to treat chlorinated solvents and a successful record with discharge
permitting for treated ground water.
Underground Storage Tank and Hazardous Waste Management
Summit Engineering Corporation offers UST and hazardous waste services
which include providing a regulatory liaison; managing UST tank removal,
disposal, and replacement; performing contamination and site characterization
studies; and developing soil and ground water remediation recommendations.
