geotechnical investigations and reports with recommendations for several
large casino developments in California including Chuckchansi, Buena Vista, and the San Pasqual projects.
Microwave Towers - Summit Engineering Corporation has investigated
and produced more than 15 geotechnical reports for microwave yower sites
between Las Vegas and Ely, Ely and Elko, and Tonopah to Reno for the State of Nevada.
D’Andrea Shopping Center–
Summit Engineering Corporation provided a soils investigation and report for this Safeway Shopping
Center, which included Safeway and numerous other shops, restaurants,
and a fuel station.
D’Andrea Ranch, Development Phases 1,
2 & 3 – Summit Engineering Corporation performed soils and geologic investigations
on this 282-acre – 580 residential lot planned golf community
located in Sparks, Nevada. Previously undetected geologic hazards were
identified during the course of investigation, enabling appropriate
and timely adjustments to subdivision designs.
Lompa Ranch Liquefaction Study –
Summit Engineering Corporation assessed the liquefaction potential of soils on the Lompa Ranch,
Carson City, Nevada, a 391-acre property slated for acquisition and
development. Summit Engineering Corporation confirmed the liquefaction potential of the soils
during seismic events, assisting the client in critical evaluation of
the property.
Somersett – Summit Engineering Corporation performed soils
investigations on various phases of this planned golf community in northwest
Reno, including the following subdivisions; Riverside, Ridgeway, Citiside,
Dakota Ridge and Areas 2, 3 and 4. Summit Engineering Corporation also completed an extensive
drilling program to evaluate slope stabilities resultant from planned
160 ft. deep cuts.
Lawton-Verdi Interceptor – Summit Engineering Corporation
performed a soils and geologic hazards investigation for Phase 4 of
this major sewer interceptor that will connect the Boomtown Casino complex
in Verdi with the terminus at Mogul of the sewer line connecting to
the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility.
Vista Boulevard, Sparks, Nevada –
Summit Engineering Corporation performed the soils investigations, recommendations and mix designs
for the northern extension of Vista Blvd. from Baring Blvd. to North
Los Altos Parkway. Scope of work included characterization of soils,
overexcavation, stabilization, widening and realignment.
