Materials Testing & Inspection
Summit Engineering Corporation has provided full time materials testing and inspection on a large variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and public agency projects.
Some of our recent projects include:
RTC – Arterial Projects – Vista Blvd., Sutro Street,
Greg & Howard, Longley Lane, Probasco, McCarran Blvd. - Summit Engineering Corporation
provided full time inspection and materials testing for all fill placement,
nuclear density testing, concrete sampling and testing and asphalt sampling
and testing for numerous roadway arterials for the Regional Transportation
Commission.
City of Reno Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation
Projects – Summit Engineering Corporation has provided materials testing and inspection
services for numerous street rehabilitation projects for the City of Reno.
These services included soils testing, concrete sampling and testing,
and asphalt sampling and testing.
Northgate Subdivisions, Reno, Nevada –
Summit Engineering Corporation has provided materials testing and inspection services for numerous
subdivisions throughout this area of Northwest Reno.
Somersett, Reno, Nevada – Summit Engineering Corporation
has provided several construction inspectors for mass grading, pad construction
and roadway inspection and monitoring activities. Scope of work included
fill monitoring, compaction assessment, nuclear density testing, concrete
testing and asphalt testing.
D’Andrea Ranch, Sparks, Nevada –
Summit Engineering Corporation provided the majority of the materials testing and inspection services
required during the mass grading and private improvements for the development
of this planned golf community.
LABORATORY
Summit Engineering Corporation's materials testing laboratories are accredited through the American
Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). This
program has determined that Summit Engineering Corporation has demonstrated proficiency for the
testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, and asphalt).
All full time laboratory personnel are currently certified
by the Nevada Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (NAQTC).
Our Reno laboratory undergoes periodic inspections
and equipment calibrations by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory
(CCRL) and the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL).
