Summit's Environmental Team can accommodate all pre-construction site assessment and permitting requirements. Summit Engineering Corporation offers environmental services for public works, land development and mining projects, consisting of Phase I - Environmental Site Assessments; however, additional services include Phase II - Environmental Site Characterizations, Phase III – Site Mitigations, and underground storage tank and hazardous waste management, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans (SPCC), and Emergency Response Plans. Additional mining services including waste rock characterization, specific testing for mining analysis and sampling for assays are available.
Summit has multiple Certified Environmental Managers (C.E.M.) on staff, which allows our team to provide environmental services for projects throughout Nevada. Summit has the capability to oversee a project from the moment contamination is discovered, to the point of site closure by a regulatory agency. This oversight includes project scheduling, contamination removal, soil and groundwater sampling, coordination of contamination disposal, permitting, evaluation of and method of site-specific remediation, and State of Nevada Petroleum Fund submittal.
Environmental Personnel & Certifications
Our environmental department is comprised of several Certified Environmental Managers (C.E.M.) as well as professional geologists and engineers. Each C.E.M. has completed and maintained the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training necessary to remain current.
